According to the dictionary definition, "jóia" refers to the membership fee. In this context, I think it wouldn't fit. Probably better to say "membership dues".

Addedum: Beware of the word "taxas". In Brazil, it refers to fees. In the US, I've seen some Brazilians use "taxas" when they actually meant "impostos" (taxes).

It should be singular, even though in PT we have "joias" this should be "entrance fee" since it's a one-time payment by new members (broken down in installments and a down payment).
