Thank you for clarification. In this case I would not use the term "creation" in this context. The term really ought to be expressed in a more specific way before. Unless the preceding text has given explicit details about this. Which is why I suggested fuller context. It is one thing justifying its usage with a web link, and quite another thing to actually use it legitimately yourself if you come from another culture, no matter how well you can master the language technically speaking.

The point is, the term is not used on its own at all, but rather in its very clear context: "Textele urătorilor". As it is, there is no need for additional context. This IS the context. Folk creations as used in the text of folk Christmas/New Year carols. No other meanings. There is an additional explanation, that such "creations" refer to agricultural processes, and in particular bread making, IOW, these are short poems about bread-making and other such activities.

Maybe, but the point I am making is that when we use "creation" on its own like the Romanian has done, it is used for emphasis. It is not a strictly technical term to denote a particular item that has been created. That is all I said. The usage can be found, but it has an attitudinal value to give a piece of writing/speech some sort of emotive or stylistic emphasis. -- And this is why I suggested that more context is needed (i.e. more of the source text), so that the target text does not risk sounding like something written by somebody who does not understand English usage/flow. It is one thing giving an excellent technical and literal translation and telling the English translators to go away, but if the text uses terms which do not flow into the English way of speaking/writing, it is the client that is compromised.

The "folk creations" are Christmas carols describing agricultural work and bread making.

In English "creation" is always a bit redundant if it is used on its own without more detail about the piece of art it is used for. I think we need more context about this as I think in English it would be better on this occasion to be more specific. i.e. "creation" is too general a word to use on its own easily. It can be used like this, but this is when there has already been a particular emphasis placed on an artist's work or on the creative work that is being discussed.
It is a difficult word to use alone. Maybe this is not so for Romanian - but the language usage is not the same across our cultures.
