Cosmetic Dentistry - Whitening

What's involved?
There are two methods with which we can whiten teeth.

Laser Whitening
Your teeth are whitened in one visit at the dental office using a high intensity light.
Home Whitening
A custom *mouthguard type appliance* is fabricated for your mouth. Into this appliance, you will dispense the agent that whitens your teeth. By being able to do this at home, you will have the ability to control the rate at which you whiten.

"A mouthguard is a protective device for the mouth that covers the teeth and gums to prevent and reduce injury to the teeth, arches, lips and gums. A mouthguard is most often used to prevent injury in contact sports, as a treatment for bruxism or TMD, or as part of certain dental procedures, such as tooth bleaching. Depending on application, it may also be called a mouth protector, mouth piece, gumshield, gumguard, nightguard, occlusal splint, bite splint, or bite plane." [wikipedia]

bruxism trays

Explanation:

disagree  Sorina C: A night-guard/mouth-guard for bruxism is not the same thing as a mouth tray used for whitening teeth. Le-am avut pe amandoua.
