Russian term or phrase: пластина
Hi everybody,

I'm really hoping someone can help me. This word keeps appearing in the descriptions of architectural designs and seems to describe a tall building with a very flat front. Here are a few examples in context:

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Explanation:
I'm inclined to think up something descriptive...

for example:

... a tortoise-like dome and a batten/plank/.... of high-rise building above

... the library bulk with a high-rise batten/plank/... of book depository
