Контекст: "В последние годы с выходом страны из кризиса 1990-х, политической стабилизацией, завершением постсоветского и переходом к принципиально новому этапу развития в большинстве регионов наметились серьезные изменения. Зафиксировать и отрефлексировать их, оценить современное состояние взаимоотношений между властью, бизнесом и обществом, проблемы и перспективы развития и ставит целью новый проект."
you changed your name, i didn't recognize you. translating the sentence: replacing analyze in your translated sentence with "reflect on" achieves this. The sentence is perfectly sound. although, i would make the following changes: This new project's goal is to identify and reflect on these changes, to evaluate how government, business and society are interacting today, and to reveal the problems and challenges we are facing.

В конце концов, мы имеем дело не со словами/лексемами, а с высказываниями, которые характеризуются параметрами цельности, связности, и т.д., и т.п. Я совсем не против reflect или ponder, я лишь отстаиваю свою позицию, надеясь, что вместе мы продвигаемся к совершенству. Без спора, без конфликта не бывает движения.
zaharf, i like your analysis, very nice. And despite what you seem to think of my ability to look words up in a dictionary i got to my answer the same as you. However, I felt that changing the verb to analyze was going a bit far. Analyzing implies a focused and organized evaluation of the subject, much more activity than just the end result of a reflection. And lets not forget that analyzing in itself is a process, it is not the end product of pondering but a more focused and scientific activity. The presence of the prefix to me did not justify such a shift in intensity. Hope this clarifies my thinking to you.

Мария, а Вы уверены, что перевели слово оригинала? Попобуйте найти в двуязычных или толковых словарях лексему "отрефлексировать". Ничего не получится. Формально это дериват от "рефлексировать" в значении "серьезно задумываться, размышлять (reflect, ponder), значение же этого окказионализма, как мне представляется, -- учесть данные и осмыслить их. Акцент здесь (задаваемый приставкой) -- на результате, а не на "глубине" размышлений. По контексту это -- точный синоним "проанализировать". Повторяю: мы имеем дело не со словом, а с окказионализмом. В любом случае, наши с Вами варианты 100%-но взаимозаменяемы.
zaharf, i don't recall saying your answer was wrong. the asker wanted to know how we would best translate a particular word... i provided the answer i feel would best represents that word as did you. which is more appropriate, appealing or which fits best into the sentence (and the asker did not ask for help with the whole sentence) is up to the asker.
Explanation: This new project's goal is to identify and analyze theses changes and processes, to evaluate how power, business and society are balanced today, to make clear what challenges we are facing and what future awaits us.
