rollability Explanation: Rollability, a functional shape property of sand grains. The development of a new method to measure a behavioral shape property of sand grains is presented. This property "rollability" is related to the angle of slope on which a grain will roll down in air. It is measured on the inside of a slightly inclined revolving cylinder mantle. The grains emerge from the lower end of the cylinder and the time it takes them to reach this lower end is a measure for their rollability. The property "rollability" correlates well with the influence of grain shape in other processes such as settling in water. The rollability is measured on 1/4 phi sieve fractions. https://pubs.geoscienceworld.org/sepm/jsedres/article-abstra... |

Н. Окатанность (a. roundness; н. Abrollung, Abrollungsgrad, Abrundung, Abrundungsgrad; ф. arrondi; и. redondez, redondeo, grado de recibir forma redonda, alisado de bordes de los pedazos de rocas) - степень сглаженности первоначальных рёбер обломков г. п. It is expressed as the ratio of the average radius of curvature of the edges or corners to the radius of curvature of the maximum inscribed sphere. Measure of roundness Schematic representation of difference in grain shape. Two parameters are shown: sphericity (vertical) and rounding (horizontal). Rounding, roundness or angularity are terms used to describe the shape of the corners on a particle (or clast) of sediment.[1] Such a particle may be a grain of sand, a pebble, cobble or boulder. Although roundness can be numerically quantified, for practical reasons geologists typically use a simple visual chart with up to six categories of roundness: Very angular: corners sharp and jagged Angular Sub-angular Sub-rounded Rounded Well-rounded: corners completely rounded https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roundness_(geology) |

см. Explanation: Просто скатанность - roundness. Аднако:-), вопрос наверное, должен был звучать "средняя скатанность" и после выяснения печального факта, что таковой не бывает в русской терминологии, выбирать, видимо, следует из: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roundness_(geology) Measure of roundness Schematic representation of difference in grain shape.
