[mirror-like] super-perfection Explanation: * -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 мин (2015-04-14 20:25:41 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- P.S. 'There's No Limit To Perfection' as allegedly said Eve when first looking at herself in the mirror. :-) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 23 мин (2015-04-14 20:34:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Or (because the context is about readability of fonts) - crisp-perfection -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 26 мин (2015-04-14 20:38:01 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Or to the contrary - perfect smoothness GOK what font designers have in mind when designing a new font. |

the polish [of a mirror] / a [mirror-like] polish Explanation: If we would like it to sound like real English, that is. "Our eye, the ordinary reader's eye, needs more of a balance between individuality and unity of effect, whereas the designer's eye delights in a mirror-like polish." Really, "the polish of a mirror" scans better, but I figure the image is too literal. |
