Перевожу материал по детской психиатрии. Смысл вопроса ясен из контекста. КАк здесь быть при переводе: Писать koz'ly (goats, Rus.) и т.д. или привести англоязычный пример, напр. 'invalid -- in'valid -- inva'lid ? Но слово слишком для данного контекста слишком пессимистическое и поэтому здесь "не катит"( Помню, что какие-то примеры есть в АЯ (много), но ничего в голову не приходит((

disagree  Boris Shapiro: a) Whichever way you're pronouncing it, the is NO verb 'to invalid' in English, period **** at least pronounced as invaLID, my bad here **** b) There is no noun invaLID (stressed on 'lid') in English either, and the word INvalid is offensive.
