Spanish term or phrase: Fertilizador

Yo sé que abono es Fertilizer. Pero aquí se ve puesto Fertilizador. Me gustaría saber su opinión. Estoy revisando algunas instrucciones. Gracias.

Explanation:
In American English it is fertilizer with a "z". In British English I imagine it is fertiliser with an "s". I have always spelled it with a "z" since I am American. When you say "aquí se ve puesto", what is the context? In Spanish there are three words: abono, fertilizador, fertilizante. According to the RAE, they all mean the same thing; however, I would use fertilizador. That is my personal preference.

A corto plazo las diferencias entre una planta bien cuidada y abonada puede que no sean muy grandes, pero según vaya pasando el tiempo las diferencias serán notables hasta convertirse en abismales.
Por eso abonar el suelo en el que crecen nuestras queridas plantas, árboles, arbustos o el propio césped; bien en un jardín o en tiestos; es una tarea que es realizada reiteradamente por los apasionados de este mundo de la jardinería.

Diferencias
Para abonar las plantas que más nos gustan es primordial diferenciar entre los abonos y los fertilizantes. Cuando se elige el abono para la tierra, lo que se busca es modificar la estructura del suelo para optimizarla. Los fertilizantes consiguen únicamente aportar nutrientes en un momento dado, ya que la planta puede que necesite diferentes estímulos en una época concreta. Los fertilizantes los absorbe directamente, es decir, no varían el humus que contiene el suelo.

Una vez que ha quedado clara la diferencia entre fertilizante y abono, es muy importante leer bien las instrucciones de uso que vienen en cada envase o recipiente y seguirlas al pie de la letra, ya que varían de un compuesto a otro. No es lo mismo el fertilizante o abono en barritas que el granulado o el líquido.
