Spanish term or phrase: Números correlativo y verificador
I am translating a Guatemalan Birth Certificate and at the top there are two codes/numbers: "correlativo" (17 digit) under RENAP and "Verificador" (12 numbers and letters) under the barcode. While I understand these as a literal translation I don't know what they are so I don't know how to translate them (I don't feel a direct, literal translation would make sense). I've found both these terms used in relation to the CUI however they seem to be 8 digits and a single digit respectively so that's not helped. After looking online I can't find definitions but can find references, e.g. https://www.renap.gob.gt/verificacion-de-certificado

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Gary

English translation:serial number, check code
Explanation:
I'm quite sure about serial number because I have often seen it on Birth certificates (other countries, but anyway). I
The other must be check code or check number.
