[log] switch Explanation: Is this from a book called “Oracle 11G Administración” by Olivier Heurtel? I got a hit in Google books with the search words “oracle” and “basculacion”, and there is an index entry in the book which reads “basculacion (switch)”. I think the following links might also tie in with this. “A log switch occurs when LGWR stops writing to one redo log group and starts writing to another. By default, a log switch occurs automatically when the current redo log file group fills.” https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28310/onlin... “Log switch must occur every 15 to 30 minutes: good practice or myth?” https://community.oracle.com/thread/1059260#4594818 |
