[...] The ground well is formed by metal tube with water percolation apertures in the soil with groundwater, which has the ability to gather the groundwater and wet the surrounding soil. The principle of deep ground well to decrease grounding resistance is to decrease the resistivity of the soil region surrounding the grounding well by leading the groundwater moving to the deep ground well under pressure, and consequently decrease the grounding resistance of the deep ground well."

"Pozos de tierra", known as ground or grounding wells in American English (earth or earthing wells in British English) are holes in the ground into which grounding rods are inserted to achieve effective grounding when the electrical resistivity of the soil near the surface is too high. Groundwater plays an important part in reducing the resistivity.

"Para la sala de computo de la compañía Cervecerías Backus S.A.A., se ha solicitado la fabricación de 3 pozos de tierra conectados en paralelo para una aceptable resistencia que debe ser de 3 a 5 ohmios.
