The better the quality of the soil, the greater the benefit for plants ... (see more below) Explanation: No need to repeat the verb at the end. This construction is more common in Spanish than in English.. I run into it fairly often and usually try to use a less "dramatic" structure, such as: 'A better quality soil will yield greater benefits for plants ...' However, this solution omits the idea that the progressively better quality of soil is progressively better for plants--if it needs to be emphasized in the context. |
