English translation: Law/Patent

Law/Patents - Patents
Spanish term or phrase: al encontrarse un rebaje interior
CONTEXTO:

Hasta ahora ésto es lo que tengo: "Furthermore, the inside is partly hollow, containing an inner recess from the center of the aforementioned flat base, used with the aim of lightening the element and making it easier to transport."

"Similarly, the interior section is for the most part empty when connected to the main add-on horizontal base, making the piece lighter and easier to transport.”

Synonyms to consider: section (unit, portion, part, segment); for the most part (partly, partially, in part, to some extent, to a degree, in some measure); connected to (linked to, inserted to, plugged into); main (principal); add-on (related, associated, accompanying); piece (part, section).

Suggestion: Try aiming for meaning, instead of a word for word translation; especially, since you are privy to the entire context. How does it all connect, make sense, in the SL...even with fewer words (contraction vs. expansion) and switching words around.

Oops! Meant to say, how does it all connect, make sense, "in the TL," not "SL." Good luck with this project.
