Cyanid Explanation: Cyanogene Glykoside: Einige wenige Pflanzenarten sind befähigt, Cyanide zu bilden, die ihrerseits bekanntlich schwere Zellgifte sind (kompetitive Hemmung am FeIII der Hämgruppen). Zur Entgiftung werden sie in Zellen glykosyliert, d.h. durch beta-glykosidische Bindung an Zuckerreste (meist Glucose) gekoppelt. Cyanid ist das einwertige Anion, also Salz der Blausäure und kommt in der Natur z. B. in bitteren Mandeln oder Obstkernen vor.
