Il bonito credo possa indicare vari tipi di pesci, della stessa famiglia dei Tunnidi, ma diversi principalmente per grandezza. Io l'ho sempre trovato come "sarda" (o Bonito del Atlántico/palamita). Nel sito della Fao trovi le schede con le caratteristiche, diffusione e nomi (il primo è quello per cui propendo io ma non sono un'esperta in materia :-( .. )

Explanation:
Il bonito credo possa indicare vari tipi di pesci, della stessa famiglia dei Tunnidi, ma diversi principalmente per grandezza. Io l'ho sempre trovato come "sarda" (o Bonito del Atlántico/palamita). Nel sito della Fao trovi le schede con le caratteristiche, diffusione e nomi (il primo è quello per cui propendo io ma non sono un'esperta in materia :-( .. )

Il tombarello (Auxis thazard thazard), conosciuto anche come Bonito e impropriamente come tonnetto, è un pesce della famiglia degli sgomridae, la stessa degli sgombri e delle palamite.

Ora che hai specificato che si tratta dei mari di Ecuador e Perù ho dato un'occhiata più precisa e stando a questo sito il bonito corrisponderebbe alla "sarda orientalis". Nel tuo caso può quindi andare bene "sarda e sogliola" senza entrare nello specifico delle diverse sottospecie che di poco si differenziano, come faceva notare Marta.
