AMBIENTALISMO

Esta expresión se refiere a toda teoría que da más importancia al ambiente que a lo innato para dar cuenta de las capacidades, facultades y estados de los animales y las personas. Influido por el empirismo, el ambientalismo subraya el papel del aprendizaje y en el caso del hombre la importancia de la sociedad. El conductismo es el paradigma o enfoque más claramente ambientalista en psicología. Las teorías psicológicas ambientalistas acaban, como es el caso del conductismo, ofreciendo una "psicología sin sujeto", o del "sujeto vacío", por señalar que el comportamiento del sujeto es una simple función de las condiciones estimulares a las que ha sido sometido a lo largo de su vida.
