I think fluid covers "loose/easy/flowing", otherwise I would turn the sentence around, although that makes it more "wordy". Something like "he is known (famous/has a reputation) for his landscapes and cityscapes painted in a loose/easy fluid style". I think cityscapes can also be urban landscapes, or city compositions/themes/subjects... hope that helps.
