A wild guess. Maybe far-fetched, but anyway...

If the Swedish text has been written using Google translate, "upgrade instruction" in some unknown source language, could have been translated into "lyftinstruktion". You could also have ended up with höjningsinstruktion,
stigningsinstruktion ;).

Upgrade instruction also seems to work OK in the example sentences.

(Since this is software and not hardware, it can hardly be an instruction on how to lift the computer...?)

I refered the issue to the client. I think it involves escalation instructions (i.e. how to forward an issue to the next level of tech support).
