council vs executive committee Explanation: This is how I would do it. The council is all the delegates (from various districts or similar) and is, indeed the final (highest) decision-making body. You don't need the 'of delegates' in the designation... the 'Council' does fine. The executive committee acts under the mandate of the council, taking day-to-day (month-to-month) decisions, and recommending actions for adoption by the full council. We could get into a discussion of how the Soviets ran this system, because this is essentially how they did things ... formally, in name at least. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2017-04-26 20:03:18 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If you want to use 'board of directors', you have to remember that it is the AGM that is the fina (highest) decision-making authority in companies, and the BoD operate under a mandate from the AGM. |
