casual employment vs (regular) employee hourly wage Explanation: The first is people who don't have regular employment at the workplace, but are available for on-call work when this is offered. These get paid for the hours they actually work (after being called in) usually as substitutes and similar. Regular employees are employed with scheduled work, either full or part-time, for which they are paid hourly wages (as in X amount per hour times scheduled hours/week over a period, usually one month). As youf text explains, the latter get sick benefits (and holiday pay) while the former don't. https://www.mightyrecruiter.com/recruiter-guide/hiring-gloss... |
