neutral  SafeTex: I just can't spot anything that tells us any such compensation is paid out annually and not monthly etc.

  -> Good point! I make a number of assumptions when using financial terms like annuity, namely that it is not synonymous with an annual payment e.g. for tax purposes, but with a regular payment that can be weekly or monthly en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annuity
