Swedish term or phrase: affischarier
Jag översätter Aprilhäxan och har just stött på den här biten:

Birgitta svär. Och som hon svär! /.../ Nu har också färgerna övergivit henne: håret hänger i grådaskiga stripor, huden är blek och grovporig, läpparna bara en nyans mörkare.
/.../
Den unge polisen är däremot vacker. En riktig affischarier: blond, blåögd och väldig, med pastellfärgad persikohy sträckt över järnmuskler och stålskelett.

Poster boy, i.e. like someone from a poster?

neutral  Christine Andersen: I am a little uncertain about ´poster boy´. It is what the word means, but it may have the wrong connotations for some people http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poster_child. On the other hand, it may be spot on - I don´t know the book.

the Nordic ideal

Explanation:
This is a Swedish book - that much I do know, so you could perhaps use the expression ´Nordic ideal´.

It also has ´Aryan´ connotations, but is not used in quite the same way as ´poster boy´.

I also thought of ´Mother-in-law's dream´, but that has different undertones again....

As I said, I do not know the book, so I am somewhat tentative about making a suggestion when I don't know why the concept of Aryans is introduced at all.
It is not a word I would use myself, but of course you have to translate what your text says.
