neutral  Michele Fauble: A literal translation may not be the best option here. I'll refrain from posting a suggestion for reasons better left unsaid.

nascent

Explanation:
Just a suggestion, but I'm wondering if nascent might work well here. Since it means gryende/begynnande, it would cover the aspect of pure and not yet tarnished included in dygdig while also conveying the aspect of being incomplete. Hence it would be pure and untarnished because it never fully developed, just like a nascent flower bud that was damaged by frost and failed to bloom, but still looks pure and innocent because of what it could have been.
