Artist's impression

Explanation:
Googling "skissbild" shows that the term is often used to show how a proposed new building will look on completion.

agree  edwardPVS: I agree 100%. I'm currently translating an open call for the new Katarinaberg Bus Terminal in Slussen. When I Google Image "skissbild" and "artist's impression" I get similar results. (Usually) digital images of how a building will look on completion.

disagree  edwardPVS: Sorry, this is not a correct translation in an architectural or built environment context. The correct one has been listed by Barry Appleby above..."artist's impression". Please see my comment.

I assumed it was referring to artist renditions of houses/buildings. Google images will confirm this for you. However, in your context it may very well be preliminary sketches or stock images. I think more context is needed.

Example sentence(s):
  • An artist rendition of the new building.

Artist's impression

Explanation:
Artist's impression is a correct translation of skissbild in an architectural or built environment context. For confirmation just use Google Images. You'll get hundreds of corresponding results for both the Swedish and the English terms. A "skissbild" is an artist's or architect's (usually digital) impression of what a bullding or development will look like when it's completed. I can't speak for any other contexts that might exist though.
