But the Swedish term refers to buying standing trees known as a 'stumpage purchase' or 'purchase of standing timber". Basically, money doesn't change hands until after the trees are harvested and the timber is sold. sell/purchase as standing timber Explanation: This is a term used in the forest/timber industry and means you buy the trees as they stand, i.e. not yet felled or processed. ('På rot' is in Norstedts by the way). |
