Swedish term or phrase: banavgift
This comes from a text on railway services in Sweden. The term "banavgift" is here used for indicating the fee paid by train operators to the government for using its railways. So, what I am looking for here is the established English term used for these kinds of fees, preferably in British English.

Explanation:
- and neither a typo, nor a child-minding (barnavgift) fee.

Be that as it may, having been an erstwhile train-, Routemaster Red London Bus- and Green Line coach-spotter (and aspiring driver) as a child in the South of England, I used to view the ,ode of transport and locomotion from a consumer's angle.

Example sentence(s):
  • Calculation of charges for the use of rail infrastructure: a perspective from ORR Paul McMahon, Deputy Director, Competition & Regulatory Economics
  • The share of the different charge elements of the total amount of charge per 1 train-km .....shows that the most significant emphasis is laid on the charge for traffic management as an element of the charge for the use of rail infrastructure.

I think the author has conflated two related terms and then mistyped🙄 When transporting fruit by rail, a corrosive banangift can leak onto the rails, for which the operators have to pay a bananavgift in compensation. This is a huge problem now the fruit can’t be carried by air.
