Turkish term or phrase: tarafları tanımaz
This is part of an autopsy report where the doctor is introduced. Does it mean that she does not know the deceased and other parties (related to the accident) or that she will carry out her job in an objective way? Thank you for your guidance!

does not know the parties

Explanation:
It means, literally, that the doctor does not know the parties involved, as otherwise it may prevent him to handle that case. Similar to a situation of a judge, who may not handle a case of his relatives.

Also, there is no need, actually it would be weird, to say that a doctor is (or acts) objectively.

tarafları tanımaz

Explanation:
Your comment about it is right. In accordance with the article 62 of Turkish Criminal Procedure Law as to the expert inspection, experts should be impartial like witness. Otherwise the parties shall have a right to reject them according to the provisions related to the witnesses, which is applicable to the experts as well. So at the beginning of the autopsy, prosecutor is obliged to check whether the doctor who perform an autopsy has any relation with the deceased or the other parties such as offender, victim etc. İf so doctor shall not attend autopsy.
