Asker: Bina yapan değil de "yaptıran" anlamında kullanılıyor. Commissioned by ile kullanılması lazım sanırım. Ama bu durumda Ayasofya'nın özne durumuna geçmesi gerekiyor ama benim Justinyen'in özne olduğu bir cumlem var.

disagree  Paula Darwish: a builder is someone who builds buildings for a living and there is no such word as constructor in common usage. It may exist in the dictionary but as I said it is not commonly used & looks weird to a native english speaker.
