A friend of mine, illustrating Zeki's 'daha ne olsun' wrote this sentence about a man complaining he didn't like a house, even though it had all the mod cons
Üçüncü kat, cephesi de var, manzarası da var, her tarafı balkon... Damını buldun, kiremitini arıyorsun, yemin olsun.
First, what does the above idiom mean? How is it used? My friend went on to say that the idiom 'damını bulup kiremitini aramak' was a mild version of something stronger. Do any of your professionals also know the more colourful idiom, which is stronger than the term or phrase in the question? Thanks.
