Turkish term or phrase: Kazan kamini
From a long list of maintenance and repair jobs done on a ship:

"Kazan kamini yapılıyor."

(It is listed under routine tasks.)

There is no word "kamin" in Turkish as far as I can detect, but "Kamin" in German means "chimney" or "flue" and there is a similar word in Russian meaning "fireplace". I don't know if this word is taken from either of those languages, but I have no idea what it means in this context.

Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

I will award four points here because, even though this answer does not provide a term for the exact procedure involved here, your source has helped me a great deal. In another place in the same document I have come across: "Kazan kamin valfına salmastra atıldı," which makes me think that they are using "kamin" in the meaning of "condenser inlet" rather than "condenser inlet valve", which makes sense if we think that this word is being used in its German meaning of "flue" given that the condenser inlet is at the same time the outlet for steam from another piece of equipment. In the phrase I have asked about, this must be regular maintenance of some kind that is done to the condenser inlet, and I will probably use "condenser inlet attended to" unless I can find out precisely what is meant.
