Cell-for-cell alignment?

Hello everyone,

I have two Excel sheets, a source in English and its translation in French, that I need to align in order to create a TM. They both have the exact same number of cells. But for some reason Trados won't align them cell-for-cell, so it won't create a proper TM. Do you know of any way I can fix this, whether it involves adjusting some settings or using different software?
