Source text - English The construction equipment sector aims $3,5 billion for this year
Izmir- The construction equipments sector which decreased at the rate of 60% in 2001 due to having been affected by economic crisis grew at the rate of 65% last year. Agents indicated the local record in Turkey in 2005 with a total sell of 8700 construction equipment stressed a sell of 10600 with a sector size of 3.5 billion dollars till the end of 2006.
Faruk Aksoy, General Secretary of Construction Equipment Distributors and Manufacturers Union (IMDER), cited a sell of 1768 construction equipment in 2002 at the critical time of the economic crisis, has stated the sector in 2000 compared to 74% smaller and said the sector to go on a rapid development trend getting over the effects of the economic crisis starting in 2003. Aksoy, stating the sector to make a peak in 2005, has continued as follows:
