Bio

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I've had a fascination with learning new languages since I was a child and made the effort to learn English by myself during my adolescence. Later on, acquiring a taste for Literature, I was lucky to attend the Rio de Janeiro State University and complete the English and Literature undergraduate course. Once I graduated, I moved on to PUC-Rio and completed a translation and a subtitling course, both in 2013. I have experience working as a technical translator since 2012, and as a freelance technical translator since 2013. My language pairs are Brazilian Portuguese and English. This year I started to work with Spanish as well, and I hope to continuously improve my fluency in this language. Areas of preference: academic documents, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Management, Environment, Human Resources, Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Offshore), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

Currently, I'm specializing in Medical and Pharmaceutical translations and taking courses in several areas of expertise.
