Turkish to English: WORK ON THE FOUNDATİON OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
Source text - Turkish Avrupa Birliği, 2. Dünya Savaşından hemen sonra, 1957 yılında altı kurucu devlet tarafından Roma Anlaşması ile oluşturulmuş ve akademi dünyasında dile getirildiği gibi “sui-generis” (nev’i şahsına münhasır) bir yapısallık sergilemektedir. Devam eden entegrasyon sürecinde, AB üye devletlerinin; hem derinleşme, hem de genişleme evrelerinde çok önemli açılımlar(ilerleme) yaparak, bugün dünyadaki en önemli ekonomik güce sahip olduğu uluslar arası/uluslar üstü (supranational) bir organizasyondur.
Özellikle, yukarıda değindiğimiz gibi, ekonomik olarak potansiyelini etkili bir şekilde kullanan ve bu bağlamda küresel ekonominin tetikleyici unsuru olan AB üye devletleri, entegrasyonun belki de en hassas mekanizması olan ve politik entegrasyona ivme kazandıracak güvenlik konularında ulus-devlet öğelerinden ve self-protection yaklaşımlarından taviz vermeyen yaklaşımlar sergileyerek, bu konuda derinleşme önünde kırılamayan bir tutum izlemektedirler.
Bu hareket noktası ile, AB üye devletleri arasındaki hassas bilgi paylaşımı ve Europol’un küresel terörizm ile baş edebilmesi konusu, hem güvenlik hem de egemenlik sorunsalları ile yüzleşmektedir. Sovyetler Birliği’nin 1980’ler ile başlayan dağılma sürecini izleyen uluslararası gelişmeler ekseninde, dünya tek kutuplu bir şekil alıp, bu tek kutuplu sistemin getirdiği politik açılımlar da “Terörizm”in tanımlanmasının değişmesine neden olmuştur.
Translation - English The European Union was founded/formed with ‘the Treaty of Rome’ by 1957 in the wake of the Second World War and displays somewhat of a “sui genre structure/nature/frame” as far as it is concerned from the academic point of view. It has been an “international and supranational organisation” having the substantial economic power that the Member States gained through some further expansions or initiatives launched towards the enlargement and deepening stages of the Union within the ongoing integration process.
As indicated above, the European Member States in particular, launching the whole initiatives in this respect reflect a rigid or straight-out approach as well as adopting a severe policy with no concession of the “self-protective” attitude or “state-national” proviso concerning security conditions, being probably the most essential mechanism to provide/impart momentum to the political integration movement or process by exerting all efforts to use their own economic potential effectively.
With such a movement, the point of information sharing process, namely ‘the intelligence servicing facility’ between the Member States of the EU, which is not only intensive but equally sensitive besides that of the capability of Europol in battling with the terrorist assaults all over the world confronted with the problematic issues of security and freedom.
