It is a challenge that many companies with worldwide operations have to deal with in their travel management: Globally standardised and above all transparent processes are an unattainable ideal as long as no central online booking engine has been implemented in the individual countries and the employees make hotel bookings locally via websites and local providers. Nor can the booking processes be consolidated either with such a set-up. The initial situation was similar at XXXX AG. The group operates in 28 countries, and hotel purchasing was still to a large extent decentralised. Thus local purchasers negotiated their rates locally themselves and also used different booking channels. Ms. AAA BBB, head of department responsible for travel management, saw potential for improvements in this area. “The aim was to implement a worldwide hotel provider with XXXX-specific content,” she explains.

AAA shall, and shall cause its Subsidiaries, representatives, or subcontractors to, maintain books, records and accounts with respect to any business connected with this Agreement that (i) are true and complete in all material respects, (ii) have been maintained in accordance with reasonable business practices on a consistent basis, and (iii) are stated in reasonable detail and accurately and fairly reflect the transactions and dispositions of the assets and properties of AAA (and its subsidiaries, representatives, or subcontractors, as applicable), including accurately reflecting the actual goods or services being provided or obtained and the actual basis of compensation for such goods or services, all of which shall be fair and reasonable under the circumstances.
