Bio
I grew up with a great interest of reading literature and writing articles. While studying at high school, Chinese was always my strongest subject. Although the creative writing is not my strong field, I am very proud of my ability to produce science project reports with logical and detailed explanations. As mathematics and physics are also my strong subjects and my own interests in materials, I decided to study material science and engineering for better career opportunities. After finishing my bachelor degree in Taiwan, I went to the UK to do my postgraduate study for the reason not just to get a degree but also to experience different cultures. I stayed in the UK for nearly four years and eventually I decided that the UK is not the country for me and I moved to Czech Republic in 2010.

As a foreigner, it has not been easy to find a job that is related to my study. Through my friend’s introducing, I started to work on the on-site software localisation testing projects in Prague in December 2010. During my first testing assignment, I found out that I am able to promptly adopt the whole testing procedure and blend in the testing team. It was a great experience for me so when I got another opportunity for some other projects, I delightedly accepted it. After working on several localisation testing projects over the past three months, I really love the dynamic of the job and I enjoy the mixture of working as a member of a team and working individually. I also had some opportunities to work on translations on site and through these experiences I discovered my own potential in the translation field.

As the major of my study was materials science and engineering I am familiar with technical terms in this field and I can effectively adopt technical terms in related science and engineering fields. I was working on the English-Simplified Chinese pair when testing and translating on-site. I am able to work on translation assignments on English-Simplified Chinese and English-Traditional Chinese pairs. For me, working on translation is not just about getting the job done. It is about completing the task with fine quality. I am always proud of my own proficiency in details and my determination to achieve perfection. Therefore, I believe that I can provide excellent translation as well as software localization testing services.
