2.6 測定状況に関する補足
本試実施における測定状況について、以下の通り補足します。
限界性能把握／負荷基準値把握の際の同時接続数
今回の測定ではランプアップは行わずに、最初から限界に近い負荷を与えてループットを測定しています。理由としては、 限界を大きく超える負荷を与えた場合は、UTM 側のパケットロスの発生頻度が高くなり、正確なスループットを測定すること ができないためです。測定機器でその限界ポイントを検証した結果、CloudEdge 100、FortiGate 90D どちらも 11～12ユーザではパケットロスが発生したため、今回は同時接続数を 10ユーザに設定し測定しています。
CloudEdge 100 の AntiVirus 機能の状況
CloudEdge 100 での AntiVirus 機能オン時のテストケース実施時に、ツシテヅヺソとして EICAR を送信しましたが、 CloudEdge 100 側で検知されませんでした。
また、弊社側の設定について、貴社ご担当者様に画面キャプチャをご確認頂きましたが特に設定方法に問題は見当たり ませんでした。設定方法に間違いないことを確認の上、再度 EICAR の検出を試みましたが、検出には至っておりません。そ のため、本報告書に記載する CloudEdge 100 側の AntiVirus 機能の結果は、EICAR が検出されない状況で測定しています。

2.6 Supplementary Information Related to Measurement Conditions
Supplementary information related to the measurement conditions employed in these tests is provided below.
Number of Simultaneous Connections When Ascertaining Performance Limits / Load Reference Values
In the following tests, throughput is measured by applying a load near to the upper limitation from the beginning with no ramp-up. This is because in cases where the load applied greatly exceeds limitations, packet-loss frequently occurs on the UTM side and throughput cannot be measured accurately. As a result of verifying the point of this limit with measuring equipment, in order to perform measurements, we set the number of simultaneous connections to 10 users as packet-loss occurs on both CloudEdge 100 and FortiGate 90D when there are 11-12 users.
Status of CloudEdge 100 Antivirus Functions
Although an EICAR file was sent as test data when test cases were performed on CloudEdge 100 with antivirus functions running, it was not detected on the CloudEdge 100 side.
In addition, Trend Micro administrators examined the configuration on our side through screen captures and did not find any particular problems regarding the method of configuration. Although we re-tested EICAR detection after confirming that there were no problems with the configuration method, the test file was still not detected. Consequently, the results for CloudEdge 100-side antivirus functions provided in this report were measured with no EICAR detected.
