Bio

Background

I decided to become a Korean to English editor and translator after I fell in love with the Korean language and culture when I moved to Seoul in 2009. I started out teaching conversational English in a high school, but found myself drawn to learning the characters, and then to speaking, reading, and writing. I lived in South Korea for six years, and passed Level 4 of the Test of Proficiency in Korean (한국어능력시험) at the conclusion of my studies.

As of February 2023 I'm searching for work with a range of translation agencies providing localization services. I have translated webtoons (KO-EN) for Naver and Lezhin Entertainment. I was a translator for "Lookism" (외모지상주의), the hit online webtoon (웹툰) by Naver, and I specialize in non-technical translations such as news articles, HR documents, websites, textbooks, etc. I do bilingual editing (한영 감수) for a range of documents relating to business and technology, contracts, as well as academic manuscripts, game scripts, and the like.

I am currently available to work with new translation agencies, so if you have a need, please send me a message. I also can be reached via KakaoTalk (카톡). I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for reading! 감사합니다.
