A little bit about myself...

              ...and a few technicalities

I graduated university with the major Political Science and the minors sociology and psychology.

I grew up bilingual with German and Polish and have spent prolonged periods of time abroad, studying autodidactically Spanish, Arabic and Greek and, of course, over the years had plenty of opportunity to polish my English skills.

I started my freelance career in 2009 as a data annotator and transcriptionist working on projects related to SEO, MT and voice recognition for smart devices and since 2013 increasingly shifted towards translation. In 2016 I added subtitling to my service spectrum and have since worked on a wide range of content and for various clients.

Scope of Services:

Translation: Political Science, Travel & Tourism and Video Games ... are domains where I have expertise and a strong personal interest. I strive to keep learning continuously and am conducting in-depth research to create impeccable translations.

CAT-Tools I mainly work with are: SDL Trados Studio and OmegaT.

My subtitling tools of choice are Subtitle Edit, Subtitle NEXT and OOONA Tools, but I am open to (and experienced in) working with clients' proprietary software if required.

Rates: I can't state any particular standard rate, as that depends upon field, complexity, and file format. My price ranges are as follows:

Translation (per word)

SP--->GER 0.09 EUR - 0.12 EUR

Subtitle translation (from time-coded template, per video minute)

ENG-->GER 7 EUR - 11 EUR

SP--->GER 8 EUR - 12 EUR

Subtitle translation & Spotting (no template, per video minute)

ENG-->GER 10 EUR - 13 EUR

SP--->GER 11 EUR - 14 EUR

Spotting (script in target language provided, per video minute)

ENG-->GER 4 EUR - 5 EUR

SP--->GER 4 EUR - 5 EUR

For accurate Translation pricing it's necessary to submit the respective material for evaluation. Rush service assumes extra charge.
