Source text - English 1 INTENDED USE
Prostatic level urethral obstruction requiring stenting to allow urinary drainage.
2 CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Febrile patients (> 380 C)
• Pediatric patients
• Known pathological processes that might require insertion of instruments larger than the internal diameter of the stent.
3 WARNINGS
• For patients with bleeding disorders or using anticoagulant medication: If the coagulation parameters are not within the range permitting surgical intervention, do not implant the stent.
Do not use if body temperature of the patient is above 38C .This can result in premature stent expansion and incorrect stent deployment.
Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
• Do not use if the temperature indicator on the product card box is black.
Do not open the stent protection cover shells if the ambient temperature is above 37C.
• Perform visual inspection of the device before use. Do not use if the device is visibly damaged.
Do not use irrigation fluid with temperature above 37C. This can result in premature stent expansion and incorrect stent deployment.
• Do not use high energy sources such as laser or electrosurgical equipment on or near the stent. Laser beams, electrical current or sparks may damage the surface of the stent wire.
Do not re-sterilise or reuse the stent or the accessories. The original form of the stent might be destroyed, resulting in distance between the coils and risk of tissue in-growth. At worst the stent will be difficult to remove.
