I am a native English speaker based in the UK.

I regularly carry out EN variant localisation, proofreading of English text written by non-native speakers, transcription and subtitling. Throughout my working career I have regularly proofread EN copy that has been written by non-native speakers.

My main areas of expertise are travel (6 years working at a major online travel agency), business and marketing documents, sport (specifically football, athletics, cycling but also sport and recreation in general), cooking, e-commerce, current affairs.

I am a qualified French and Spanish to English translator (2:1 Heriot Watt University 1997) with 20 years experience in a variety of roles in the translation and localisation industry as both client and supplier: Terminologist, English Proofreader, Software Engineer, Technical Project Manager, Localisation Project Manager, Translator, Reviewer.  

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my young family, travelling as much as possible, baking cakes, photography, running and open water swimming.
