Bio

March 2023 update: please note that I have recently started a new job in another industry. If you are looking for a French or German to English translator, I am happy to recommend a colleague to you.

Specialising in technical translations, I used my experience in the steel industry to help clients based in French and
German-speaking markets to communicate in English.


From 2012-2015, I was employed by LUR in the UK to work on behalf of French specialist steel company Ascometal.


I then translated 1,750,000 words, and more than 500,000 of these were for technical texts.


Typical documents translated included user manuals, specifications, product catalogues and standardised operating procedures.


In addition to my main specialisation, I also worked with a top animal conservation NGO for five years on proofreading and German into English translation projects, and I regularly worked with e-commerce end customers.


Continuing Professional Development is important to me and I passed the General and Social Sciences papers of the DipTrans (for French to English).


I am a full member ("Ordentliches Mitglied") of the Austrian Professional Translators' and Interpreters' Assocation UNIVERSITAS.
