Bio

I have studied Dutch language and literature in Vienna and Groningen, as well
as Spanish Adolescence Education in Cortland, New York. My thesis
focused on the influence of William Faulkner on Hugo Claus, and I have
published several articles about postcolonial Dutch literature. Having
worked as a researcher and German, Dutch, and Spanish language teacher
for several years, I began translating full-time in 2018. I translate from Dutch, English and Spanish into German.

Since 2020/21 I have been accredited as a translator of fiction, non-fiction and drama by the Flemish and Dutch foundation for literature: https://www.flandersliterature.be/translators/lotte-hammond
