I graduated in 2015 with
a dual degree in biochemistry and French as a pre-medical
student turned language professional. I have an exceptional knowledge of
various topics in biology and chemistry, as well as related topics in medicine.
My biochemistry background in combination with experiences in laboratory work,
journal writing, and six years of emergency first-aid response, make me stand
out in my ability to translate quality scientific texts. For the past three years I have
been working as an English as a foreign language teacher in South Korea while
simultaneously adding another language to my skill-set. As a teacher in South
Korea, I have also had many opportunities to help coworkers translate documents
and e-mails into English as well as assisting in revising tests and other
classroom materials prepared by non-native English speakers. While working in
Korea I have become familiar with topics in Korean government,
education, cosmetics, beauty as well as film and photography. As a polyglot I am very
interested in foreign languages and continue to study new languages that I hope
to incorporate into my translation work as well. I am passionate and dedicated
to providing quality, well-researched translations. As an entry-level
translator I take advantage of any opportunity to gain experience and prove the
quality of my work. I recently began volunteering for translators without
borders and I plan to voluntarily translate captions for YouTube videos as
well. I am committed and thorough with my translations .If you are interested
in French to English translations in the sciences,
or other technical and general French to
English or Korean to English translations please send me an
e-mail. |
