I received my Master's in French Literature from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, during which time I had the opportunity to teach various levels of college French classes. I was also selected to participate in a teaching exchange that allowed me to work at a French university for one year (Université de Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée). I've lived, studied, and worked in France (Paris and Besançon), and was awarded a C1 level of proficiency (DALF exam) by the French Ministry of National Education in 2015 (before I began my Master's degree). I've been working in the translation industry full-time since finishing my Master's, and have experience as an in-house translator and project manager with an international translation agency. I have experience with a wide variety of projects (immigration, legal, subtitling, commercial marketing, and more), but have a special passion for literary and art/art historical translation. My personal projects include a number of short story and novel translations, including a forthcoming publication with Two Lines Press in the spring of 2020. I have also done some community/liaison interpreting in the Omaha/Lincoln area, and am interested in continuing to grow my experience in this field. I would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have via email, and I look forward to speaking with you about your translation project!
