▶How am I different? 

★ Other translators here have written that they can delve right into any work and translate texts from all areas of expertise, although they are beginners who have just received work. That's simply not possible. It's not entirely impossible to translate in certain areas where you aren't experienced with the subject matter, but it can result in a wrong translation. I only translate text from fields in which I have experience.★

1. Fashion & Textile (High fashion/contemporary fashion/luxury/kids/seasonal brochure/product details/catchy phrase/textile)

I majored in Clothes & Textiles and English Language at uni. From 2011 to 2013, I worked for a global fashion company 'H&M', Uniqlo as a floor manager and a Sales assistant where I learned a lot of professional on-site languages and terms.  Also, I acquired expert knowledge from reading several years of magazine subscriptions including Vogue, Elle, etc and my hobby which is binge shopping!


2. Game (Video game/console/PC/Mobile/regardless of genres)

As a part-time game lover, I've been playing lots of games including Mmorpg, Action Rpg, War strategy, Strategy simulation, etc. And for several years, I've been working with gaming localization agencies dealing with fun video games for global users. In the game industry,  it is often impossible to grasp the context as there are only strings to be translated without scripts. So the glossary and translation memory possessed by the translator can be a precious asset for translation. Since I use CatTools to translate game strings, I always get consistent outcomes and satisfy users who play the game directly.

3. Marketing (Advertisement/SNS marketing/web & app localization/Cloud/API/Market research)

While working as a translation assistant at the Korean Open market '11STREET', I drafted a company introduction letter, web page translation, advertising phrases, and product details. Since freelancing, I treated a lot of marketing stuff such as Application & Webpage localization, Market research, Terms & Conditions, Contracts, SNS promotion, etc.  I can give you selling phrases for your end items and clients based on the entire marketing experience.

4. Video translation (Youtube, tv shows, Netflix, etc) 

I am currently volunteering for the TED Video translation team and also translating some YouTube videos as a hobby. Moreover, I took a course work of subtitle translation at the Academy of Video Translation in Korea.


5. Continuous Learner

I never stop learning. I am taking a few courses at a famous open university 'Coursera' to learn about marketing and translation techniques for my future career and giving my clients the best outcomes. I want to be a translator who constantly expands its breadth of expertise through a lifetime of study and diligence.
