Bio
In November 2016 I was hired for a one month contract as a legal translator at Herbert Smith Freehills (banking dispute). During my seven months at Herbert Smith Freehills, I carried out legal translation from French to English. I researched French and English law, I carried out extensive research on banking (money laundering, banking strategies). I proofread documents and publications, I formatted all the documents before they were sent to the Court.
I was promoted to a managerial position: I reviewed and corrected other translators work before it was sent to the other parties in the dispute. I also reviewed translations carried out by the other parties and highlighted mistakes before sending the documents back for re-translation. I also translated Spanish legal documents into English.

Previously I was a business analyst at Gas Strategies, a consultancy in London until 2010 in the "Midstream and Markets" section of the business where I was involved in various energy (Oil, LNG, Gas, Electricity) projects (Arbitration, Price Reviews, Due Diligence, Contract Disputes, Risk Management). I carried out extensive research along the whole business chain. From understanding who the parties were (structure charts to establish true beneficial owners to the financial situation of the various parties involved, highlighting potential issues (regulatory, financial, contractual, and physical). I assisted with translations and interpreting (French and Spanish to English). I was an oil analyst at PDVSA before working at Gas Strategies.
I was awarded my law degree (with Commendation) from City University of London in October 2016 for a postgraduate degree in Maritime Law.
I am an associate at the ITI and my Proz page can be found at: http://www.proz.com/profile/58272
