I have in-depth knowledge of insurance, information technology and education, having worked in each of these industries for a number of years. I spent four years working in the Middle East and for the past eight years I have been translating articles for my website www.naturalarabic.com, which teaches Arabic through topical news stories to intermediate and advanced students, as well as working as a freelance translator. My experience teaching English combined with a passion for reading has given me the ability to write clearly and concisely.

I obtained a first class honours degree in Modern Arabic Studies from the University of Leeds in 1990 and passed the Chartered Institute of Linguists DipTrans examination in 2014, with two merits and a distinction.
