The next highly-anticipated royal wedding is Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s in October.
Now the amount tax payers will pick up for the wedding’s security has been revealed, and it’s an extravagant figure.
According to the Mirror, taxpayers will be forking out a good £2million (approx $.3million AUD) for the security at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, the same venue where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot in May.

Princess Eugenie’s wedding was initially expected to cost £750,000 (approx $1.3million) but heightened security concerns has led to an inflated figure.
The publication reports that extra firearms and police will need to be deployed, with “officers’ overtime, cancellation of holidays and the need for extra patrols” contributing to the increased expenses.
Last month the Express reported Eugenie and Jack’s October 12 wedding could cost between $675,000 and $1.35 million.

“This could mean a much more low-key, more intimate affair, with a smaller guest list and less pageantry,” reported the publication, comparing it to Harry and Meghan’s $62.1 million nuptials.
“When it comes to the cost of the dress, flowers, food and decorations, it is believed the Royal Family will fit the bill.”

Ursprünglich wurden die Kosten für Prinzessin Eugenies Hochzeit mit 750.000 Pfund (rund 800.000 Euro) angegeben, aber strengere Sicherheitsvorkehrungen haben zu der überhöhten Summe geführt.
Die Zeitung berichtet, dass zusätzliche Waffen und Polizeipräsenz notwendig sein werden, wobei „polizeilichen Überstunden, Urlaubsabsagen und die Notwendigkeit für zusätzliche Streifendienste“ zu den erhöhten Kosten beitragen.
Letzten Monat berichtetet der „Express“, dass Eugenies und Jacks Hochzeit am 12. Oktober zwischen 600.000 Euro und einer Million Euro kosten könne.

„Was die Kosten für das Kleid, den Blumenschmuck, Essen und Dekorationen angeht, so ist anzunehmen, dass die königliche Familie die Rechnung bezahlen wird.“
